I have to start by saying if it wasn't for this forum I would have never had the thought to do so. I have been buying a lot of broken and and beat up knife and giving them a 2nd. chance as users. Mostly reshaping blades, cleaning, sharpening. Well I got tired of that so thought I would give this a try, separating a a 2 blade knife and then putting it back together and making it functional. Well I did, I am most impressed i didn't break the bone handles of the knife. Its all back together great snap and a little blade wobble, all in all I am happy. I will take more pictures on my next attempt at a different knife. Here are the before and after pics. If you have done this please share your photos.s-l960.webpgkg.webp

Nice job! Especially on one that has clearly seen better days!

Nicely done! I wouldn't know where to start with a knife like that, and yours turned out looking awesome. It looks like a sweet user!

Very cool! my first attempt was on a $10 reindeer trapper knife i found in a junk shop. the spring tension is still messed up. my second bolder attempt was on a bnit gec 48 two blade trapper. glennbad glennbad received a small flat rate box about a week later with a gec tube filled with gec 48 parts. 🤣
