1st Becker knife

Nice. You'll love it. I'll bet you start picking out your next one before it even arrives. Welcome to the addiction. There are a few enablers here.
 
Congrats! Can't beat the 15 for the price. Excellent blade and should do well for you as a first BK.
 
The current price on the 15 is ridiculous (cheap) for what it is. I can't wait till it gets here

Ill post them as soon as I get my 2 packages, I ordered i think 6-7 knives and a bunch of survival stuff
 
I spatchcocked a large chicken the other day with my only Becker, the BK-15, and it was like going through butter. I was able to remove the backbone so close to the center that it looked like it was never there. Nary a nick or ding on the blade and the rib cuts were clean, not snapped. Now, I've sanded down the coating a bit for smoother cutting, but I don't think it would have mattered at all had it all still been there.

Allow me to opine: I'm not sold on other Beckers. Not because I don't like them, but because I'm so keen on this 15 that I can't see liking the others as much. I suppose I ought to buy one or two more and test this hypothesis! :D I do like the look of the 17, after all.

I use the heck out of mine these days. It's on fulltime patrol on the farm. I've fixed up a beater leather sheath so I can have it with me in a more compact carry.

Welcome to the forum. The 15 and the 5 are incredible blades. Very slicey and very practical. And like Gassy said, the 15 is a brilliant steak knife!

Welcome to the fold. Got a 9 two weeks ago (my first Becker) and once I saw how the 9 fit my hand (I thought it was gonna be waay too big) ....a 5 is now on the way. Was thinking next of the monster thick 2, but your post (and then the pic of the steak :D) has me thinking (again) that maybe the 15 should be next, since they're so relatively inexpensive at the moment. Hmmmm.....
 
Welcome! The 15 may be your first, but not your last. I thought I could stop with just my BK2 - my how naive I was. Added a 3 (which was a gift), 14, 4, and 16. And trying to sort out when I can get a 9 and then a 7. *sigh* I doubt my sweet, patient wife will understand.
 
Where is the best places to buy a 2015 Becker BK7 online. There are NO dealers where I live in Montgomery, Alabama
I want to get the most "updated model" that comes with a much better sheath that doesn't rattle !!!

The 15 is my most used knife these past days especially in the kitchen. I don't use my kitchen knives anymore!:D

Don't forget the BK9, you need a chopper!
