1st Becker, started with the BK2

After weeks of watching YouTube videos and reading forums I decided I needed a new fixed blade knife for Deer Camp this year. I have been collecting and using knives outdoors all my life and i was impressed with Mr. Becker's interview comments and his love of knife collecting, not just designing knives to sell. I decided to start with a BK2 and ordered a Halestormcustomkydex sheath and new micarta scales for it at the same time. Now I just have to wait for the UPS truck. I spend a lot of time in the South Texas Brush hunting and exploring with my 2 daughters and look forward to passing this knife down to one of them in the future. I'm already looking at my next Becker purchase. I hope I will be able to add to this great forum as time goes on. Pictures will be posted as soon as it gets delivered and modded.
 
Welcome! It all stared with the BK2 for me as well. I hate waiting for UPS
 
You will love the halestorm kydex sheath. He made me one for my bk24 and its awesome. So much attention to detail went into designing and makin it.

Congrats on the BK2. Sounds like it will be decked out nicely.
 
The 2 was my first "real" knife; I got it back when I thought a man only needed 1 outdoor knife.....stupid boy. I've since become a bit of a blade junkie and the Beckers are my favorite. Whenever someone is getting interested in knives, I always recommend Becker first. I've currently have or have had at one point a 2,4,9,16,17 and am hopefully getting a 10 for my birthday. Enjoy your 2, I'm sure it won't be your last Becker.

Welcome to the forum! The 2 was also my first Becker and still one of my faves. And just like others have said, you'll likely end up with a few more Beckers.

Bk2 should be delivered on Thursday and pictures will be posted soon after. Mods to follow.

Lucky. Mine got mixed up in the mail (usps) and has been sitting idle in NJ for a day and a half. Hopefully it will be here before the week is out.

Yes, to my surprise everything showed up today! The knife still shows it is in New Jersey when I check the tracking number. It will be going to the woods of deep east Texas this weekend with me.
 
Glad you got yours as well. Goofy usps. I'm jealous of your sheath and scales. Looks like that's next on my list of mods.
