Hello everyone. This is my post here in the Busse Forum, well close to first anyway. I have wanted a Busse for some time and just called in to the Busse customer service with my info ( the lady that I talked to was very nice by the way). Soooo I have a EU17 on the way as of tonight! As I poke around here in this forum a bit and I must say that I am a bit worried. Normally I am a Himalayan Imports khukuri junkie and I hope that I am able to fight off the "Busse Junkie" sickness that many here seem to have ;) . Hope that I can do a better job then I did with my khukuri problem. Anyway wanted to say hello and hope to give a report when I have the EU17 in hand. Thanks guys Mark
 
Don't fight it....the "infected" around here gave up looking for a cure long ago. As soon as you touch that EU-17 its all over :)

I know that I will break down and get at least one more. I got lucky on the Beer Chat and ended up getting a very low number. Since it is a special knife I am afraid that I will not want to use it like I do my other knives. I have a thing about getting knives that I am reluctant to use, I feel that it is a waste. So I am sure that unless I break down and use it first thing that I will be forced to get one that I will use. Oh well it could be worse I suppose, either way I think that I will end up getting one or more great knives. I am sure that I will have questions on which one to go with.
 
Mark, welcome (back) to the Busse forum.

We have found the only way to ease the pain is to buy more INFI....

Also, the worst abuse you can put one through is to NOT use it. I must admit I have a few I abuse in this way, but many others I have saved from such a "useless" fate.......

There are quite a few addicts here. We're glad you decided to keep us company...

Looking forward to your comments on your first and all of your subsequent purchases.

First off, welcome or welcome back.

Second, save yourself a lot of grief (if you really like the EU17 after you handle it) and use the sucker right away. Get some marks on it and make it yours. I kept my most perfect feeling Busse (SHBA) in the safe for over a year before I realized I was being really stupid. Now, it is on my belt most every day, scratched, finish missing, grimey grips and loving every minute of it. As soon as the funds are available, my #ed Tanker A is going back to Wauseon for a butt grind and a bead blast and will join the EDC rotation (Almost exactly the same size as the SHBA). Yes, it's going to lose it's # (no prob), it's butt (again, no prob) and it's green finish (REALLY no prob LOL), but in the end, both of us will be happy.

BTW, I have a EU17 on the way also. We'll see when it gets here.

Hello Mark, welcome to "the family". Congratulations on your purchase...You wont be sorry. I just received My 1st Busse two days ago, (F1, satin, black linen magnum) so I know a little bit about what your going through right now.
Let me reiterate...You wont be sorry. You may wait, and wait, and wait some more... But when it's all said and done, and You have the knife in Your hand, You realize the wait is part of the process...Perfection (and I mean that) takes time. You wont be sorry...
