Yes, it's true, well almost true - cause I do own an Emerson La Griffe, but I mean really, a 'real' knife.

I called Emerson Knives today and placed an order for a left-handed Commander w/ serrated blade (the masses stand and cheer, LOL). I now wait with baited breath, the tension ever-mounting, to tear into the package and carefully open the box. To gaze with adorement for the new blade - the Wave. To open it with amazing speed, as the wave catches the pocket for the first time.

And can you believe it, my lovely, adorable wife, after playing with a waved Commander for the first time, says to me - you know, you should get one of these. She's even thinking of one for herself. God, I love this woman!

Well, I continue to wait, and my wife will have to tolerate my pacing and dreaming and stammering and rambling and... well you folks get the picture.

Zzzen_Dog: The way you described how excited you are about your new Emerson being "in transit" reminds me of my situation 1 1/2 years ago when I received a new CQC7.

I had to go to the post office to sign for the package. I was so excited that, after getting the package, I jumped into the car, and ripped the box open. I pulled the knife out so fast, it opened up and I sliced my finger open. From that "point" on, I knew that Emersons were all sharp from the factory.
