1st fish of the year and my new JK

Used my JK knife for the first time today.Went fishing . I didnt make any fuzz sticks , baton wood, or perform any Herculean feats. Instead I cut line, and sharpened rod holders with it. Took a few pics.

First the spot. Its early spring , the waters are high and murky. I went to where a creek dumps into a small stream.

Got my lines out and sat in wait , getting acquainted with a new knife.

Didnt wait long before I caught the first fish. A sucker. Caught seven of these.

Caught a couple of carp

and a Drum

No catfish . I really wanted a couple of channel cats to clean.

I wish I had a more flattering review. I just need a knife to cut stuff, and this one cuts stuff well. It feels right.
