Hey GUys..
A friend of mine awhile back asked me to make him a one of a kind Karambit based on my KD4K model so here it is...pics and such.
These knives are in fact very dangerous...as are most knives, and I will illustrate that 'point' below. LOL.

Here it is...S30V steel, Nice curved blade, double Zero ground edge, And I made some Cocobolo handle scales for him too, but he wanted to contour them so they're with him to finish along with the knife. I included a Leather sheath with a few attachment options, I was gonna do kydex but my buddies deserve the best I can give them. I try hard to take good care of my close friends. Hope you guys like what you see so far...

Just wait till you guys see what Taka made....its persian, its sharp, and it has the coolest set of Curly Maple handles I have EVER Seen. Its coming up within a day or 2. :)

That looks great, as does all of your work. I had an Emerson karambit that was one of the sharpest and pointiest knives I've ever owned. Great for self protection and for stabbing yourself unintentionally.

Aint that the truth....lol. :D

Hey, well at least you were wearing gloves so you didn't have to come into contact with your own blood. :D That's a little too close to some major vessels for comfort.

Karambits scare me! Honestly I'd rather flip a double-edged bali.

That is definitely one of the evilest (is that a word?) k-bits I've ever seen. Please ask your friend to post up pics when the scales are done. I'm eager to see the final result.

You got it bro. I'll make sure to pst pics of the knife when he gets the handles all done.
I am thinking of making another one kinda like this one...but it will be different enough to maintain this one being a "one-off". :D

You all think I ought to do a few more KBits?

Yes, I think you should; and please let me know what you'd charge.

As much as there are karambits, there are few well designed ones, and yours is. Good curve to the blade, appropriate thickness, the hole is off center for ease of use and proper grip. Too many simply make a hawkbill blade with a fingerhole at the end which is merely an ugly and unwieldy knife. Yours is a nice karambit.

Since I usually wear a karambit on a neck chain, or in areas where concealability is an issue, kydex is a preference on sheath material. But I think leather is nicer generally.

Heck yeah make some more. They seem to fit the "techno bad-ass" style you've developed very well.

Well thank you guys...I will indeed make more. :) You guys like the direction I'm going in then huh? Cool....I have a few other Karambit designs that run along this line.

I agree with you Trent...too many Kbits dont have the right look and feel to them. I have owned over 30+ Karambits (back when I was a collector, and doing research on Kbits in general) from Many Many makers an designs, and only a select few were worth while and even worth keeping. Youre right.

Your pieces have an appeal that may not grab everybody by the gnarblies, but I for one like them.

Sort of a high tech look blended with a psychopathic "I'll cut your dome clean off and eat cheerios out of your dried skullbone" vibe. I would expect a lone bada** roaming the wasteland to have a blade like that secreted on his person.
