I've ordered 2 Khuks over the last 2 weeks, a 17" chiruwa AK and more recently a 17" Malla.
The Malla was sent with EMS and according to tracking has already been with Dutch customs for 2 days
and I was expecting to get that one today.
The AK allthough being ordered ealier was shipped "standard" and has been on it's merry way for over 2 weeks and I had no idea when to really expect it.
I was hoping to have had it already.
Working nightshifts and sleeping away the afternoons, I usually miss the postman as he usually comes by before 12:00h.
Today I woke at 14:00h (which regretably is quite early for me) and thought; "oh well, didn't here the door bell; either no postman, or I missed him today."
Now usually I'd just have my coffee 1st and muck about a bit (shower etc), before even considering going downstairs to check my mail, but today I felt a "calling"...
So I drag myself downstairs (still sleepy) and look at the bottom of the staircase to see if there's any mail...nothing.
But just as I'm ready to drag my sleepy bum back up the stairs, I see a balding head through the door window; it's the package delivery guy!
Talk about perfect timing.
I sign for my triangular box and run (note: not drag myself) upstairs, whip out my spyderco and open my present: it's the AK!
Despite being a villager and not yet being "the sharpest tool in the shed", she's a beaughty
. It's love at 1st site!
I've cleaned away some beginning rust on the tang (chiruwa handle) and given her an oil bath, now all she needs is a good sharpening.
Thanks Bill and Yangdu.
