Here is my first attempt at a neck knife. Cable damascua blade, flat ground, distal tapered, black palm handle slabs. The sheath is by Tess Neilson and is magnetic. Hope the pic is allright. I have to downsize them considerablely to get them to post and they seem to degrade as I do so. If anybody has any suggestions on how to avoid that I'd love to hear them.
There are some pretty big occlusions in the blade, so this will be a personal carry for me (FINALLY!!!), but I like the shape and will be making more of these in different sizes. This one is 5 5/8" OAL 2 1/2" blade
Wadda ya think?

Ed,

As you said the pic is hard to see detail on. All and all, it looks very nice from here. :D

Also, Tess does super work. :)

DAmn fine knife! I like it alot. How thick is the steel?

Looks good to me, only thing I would change would be the cord, I like the bead chain be cause it doesn't take much to break it and since I work around a lot of machinery wheather I'm home or at work I want something that won't strangle me if it gets caught up. Just my .02$, other people feel diferantly.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The steel is about 5/32 at the middle tapering to 1/16th at the end of the handle. Comes to a very fine point.
Thanks for the safety tip Will. I'm not crazy about beaded chain (too many years in dog tags....), but I will be swithcing to something thinner and less likely to strangle me. This was just handy for now.

I really like the style on this one, especially the handle. Looks like a great user. Funny how with all the knives we make we hardly have any for ourselves huh :)
