This is the first of a pair, and it's going to my cousin (she doesn't know it yet).

1/8" A2
3.4" blade, hand-sanded to 1000grit (phew)
Blue laminate wood handle
1/8" brass pins
Flitz waxed

My sanding protocols have improved a bunch, and I managed to get the grinds quite flat, which improved things substantially.

Man, I think that turned out really well Daizee! I'd be grabbing that one in the kitchen all the time! I love it.

I've got a paring knife heat treated and ready for handles, but orders have been getting in the way of finishing it. I need to get it done now, you've motivated me!

Handle looks to be Dymondwood, Calvin.

Now..what color? I have a friend who wants a knife soon with a blue handle and it's hard to tell actual color from quick pics on suppliers sites.

Is that Indigo Blue Dymondwood?

Very graceful curves that ease into a very pleasing minimalist design. Nicely done.

Thanks, Guys,

The wood is from Jantz, I forget exactly which color it was and the label is long gone. It's very blue in person too.
