Electrician's knife, regular spear point main blade and a liner locking screwdriver blade. Similar (or identical in some cases) to what the military used to call a TL-29. Great find!
your knife is also widely referred to as the TL-29! A workhorse of a pattern
made by or sold by just about everybody, not sure who made your Klein though.
Any number of companies made knives on contract for companies.
Stick around alot of nice and helpful people visit the traditional forums

Ahh. The knife that won the war!!
LOL. Ok, not really, but these little badboys put in way more work then the big KaBars and Bayonets. The TL-29 was the do everything knife, and many are still in service, with the original soldiers who were issued them. Tough, strong, hard working knives.
M. Klein and Sons is one of the oldest tool companies still in operation in the USA. They primarily make electricians/linemans tools. I do not know if they made the knife in question or contracted it out.
Thank you for all of your answers. Is there any different angles I could take a picture of the knife that would help date it? I definitely plan on keeping it.
I can get you a bit closer but not much. The company no longer goes by M. Klein and Sons. It is now Klein Tools. This change occurred around 1969-70. So you are older than that but there is about 115 years of company history prior. If those are plastic simulated wood handles that would narrow it down some more but I have no idea how much. I would recommend you pose this question in Bernard Levine's Collecting and ID Forum.
I have one just like that. I don't know much about age either, though. I love the TL-29 pattern. I'm giving one away on the forum (Camillus, civilian) in a week or so. That will leave me with...five? More? They are great knives. If I had to give all my knives away, I might keep a TL-29. Cool history, great blade.
