1st I would like to thank all of the enthusiasts that post on this Forum for past
and future posts,I have spent the past two
months reading all of the archived material
so I could bring myself up to speed on the
latest news in the Custom and Automatic
market,This has been a very enlightning
process to say the least.
Now we all like to talk about our Knives that
is why we are here til the wee hours of the
morning, and this is my first post so I will
offer a little background.
I have a modest collection of Customs and
autos (some day I hope to have a large collection)I subscribe to 3 Knife magazines
Blade,Tactical Knives, and Knives Illistrated,(if there are any others please let me know)Last purchase Elishewitz #5 auto to be picked up from his shop Friday hopefully with a tour.I purchased this Knife from Les
Robertson,Were I have purchased most of my
Customs in the past.(Great Guy)and im sorry
that it did not work out for him on this
Forum for we all lost a valuable asset.

I thank all of you who take the time to read this and reply, My posts in the future will
not be this long, just getting warmed up.
I apolagize for any mis spellings or bad
punctuation.
Thanks again.
Kevin.

Hi Kevin,
Great to have you along, Les still posts here and I consider him one of the most knowledgeable non knife making contributors we have (definitely more than I). Hope you enjoy this place at least as much as I have.

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for your post. I might also recommend Knife World Magazine. It is a monthly newsprint style magazine.

you can learn more online at:

Nice to have you posting.

My favorite Makers and why.
You hit me with a hard question on my 3rd post but I crave challange so here goes.
These are not in any type of order
Bob Terzuola--For all of his innovations in Tactical Knives.
Jeff Chafee--For creating the first art Knife that I ever purchased (the only one so far)
Larry Chew--For his pivot design and for his customer rapport.
Pat&Wes Crawford--For fit and finish and the smoothest non bearing pivot that I have worked
Allen Elishewitz--For his ever changing yet innovative designs and customer rapport.
All of the Knives that I own from these makers are my favorites all for differant reasons and there are a lot more favorites (Knives and Makers)out there that I have not yet purchased(Knives)or had the pleasure to meet(Makers)I hope that this answered your question.
And thanks davidb415 for the question it was easier than I thought it would be.
Kevin.
