I was at a store and saw the Buck Access. I noticed that it said "1st Production Run - 1 of 2500".

Does this mean that there are 2500 knives each marked "1 of 2500"? Or is this really knife really number 1, and there is also a number 2, 3, etc.? I would imagine it is the latter, but it does seem sort of strange that it would just be sitting there if it was knife numer one.

By the way for a very inexpensive knife I readily admit that the Access is pretty nice looking (particularly the 3 inch version). I'd prefer it to have a lanyard hole at the end, but to each his own I guess...

Thanks!

1 of 2500 means, in this case, that they are all marked that way. There isn't a number 2 of 2500. We do occassionally have our knives numered "1 of..." "2 of..." ect. and some lucky collector will end up with number 1. You never know where that first knife will end up either.
Hope this helps,
