1st Stonewashing

Took the scales off the mackinac hunter, which was polished stainless steel,very slippery & scratched easily,too. I blowtorched them to slightly change the color then put them in a thermos with small stones,ceramic aerator balls for garden soil, & some silicone carbide powder used in engine turning. shook it up for about 20 minutes. got a stonewashed pocketworn effect. looks cool,& is very grippy,too. looks better than the picture . now i need to make a set of scales.Uploaded with ImageShack.com
