1st thread, best way to take pics of knives & post?(nt)

beautiful pics! any tips on taking pictures like that? i have a fuji finepix 2300. did you use photoshop?
 
Check out the 2 tutorials supplied by pendentive in the Himalyan Imports Forum. For picture posting, it becomes real easy if you get a Premium or Gold membership - can post pixs directly from your computer file. Good luck at Blade Forums!
 
what are you using for a camera? How about the software? The photos you posted are gorgeous!!!!

This topic pops up often but I cannot remember anyone talking about Macro and what they consider as good for a camera [distance to object photographed]

I use an Olympus C-3000 and I cannot get closer than eight inches. Just does not produce great close-ups!!!!!!

I went digital early on and bought a Kodak DC260, back in '98. I picked up a lens kit for it, which included close-up lenses and an adapter. Here's as close as I've been able to get:

It works pretty well, but you have to get the image in focus by viewing the LCD panel and moving the camera back and forth. It's not the best solution, but it works for an old camera.

Check with Olympus, and see if they have something similar.
