You use the Spey blade for all that, or ~10 per blade? We didn't do logging today.
An Amish friend needed a ride to the hospital for his recovery/checkup/followup.
So I just got done castrating 20 pigs and 12 bull calfs for him.
I don't use the spey blade, I use the main. You use the Spey blade for all that, or ~10 per blade?
When I told my girlfriend, she told me her diet started that very instant.Pics are not necessary. I'll assume it happened.
Just preference or is there another reason?I don't use the spey blade, I use the main.
Yeah, my understanding is that is what most actually use for castration. I was more curious if you’d use one blade on 32 animals, or if you’d mix and max. And how often do you strop/hone/sharpen if you’re just using the main blade?I don't use the spey blade, I use the main.
It's less efficient.Just preference or is there another reason?
I use a slick.Yeah, my understanding is that is what most actually use for castration. I was more curious if you’d use one blade on 32 animals, or if you’d mix and max. And how often do you strop/hone/sharpen if you’re just using the main blade?
When I switch species I put the blade in a pot of boiling water wipe it off douse it in peroxide touch it up & keep going.
Infection spreads easy from 1 to another if you don't.Lord knows you wouldn't want an unsanitized blade used to cut the cajones off a poor pig. That would be adding insult to injury.
