1st time cleaing my Umnum - Any Advice?

Hey Everyone,

although i would consider myself very experienced taking down and cleaning my sebenzas, i've yet to take down my umnumzaan. Having experience with CRK folders i'm not too worried about the process, however any advice or pointers can't hurt.

If you've cleaned a Sebenza you should have no problems with the Zaan. It's pretty straightforward and similar to the Sebenza. Go for it.

i just finished up and it is seemingly perfect... my only question is regarding the pivot tension.

When i tighten it up all the way it pretty much locks up. Is there a way to determine the proper tension or is it just preference?

I believe it's up to you how tight you want it. Adjust it to your liking and put a very small drop of loctite on it, let it set up, and you are good to go.
