Wow! What an "interesting" week. I was admitted to hospital on Monday morning and came home Saturday afternoon. Had two different chemo drugs every day, and on Tuesday, I had 3 drugs. My blood counts dropped, so they had to give me 4 units of blood. I go back to the cancer center on Monday for 2 more drugs and lab work. They are good about keeping a close watch on your counts. And I don't even mind all the labs, they can do everything through the PICC line! (Which in itself was an exciting adventure!) I repeat the Monday schedule on the 12th, then on the 26th, I go back to repeat the 5 day schedule again. Then 2 more Mondays, and I should be done. The Dr. cut my chemo down to 2 courses from 3.

:eek:Oh, MAN, my Colts just lost to the Patriots....

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts & prayers as Chuck & I go through this time.

Barb--Sounds like they're doing it all right! :D I know the PICC is a pain, but having put them in and used them a lot, I can honestly say that it beats the OLD way we had to do things!! Best wishes to you, keep your chin up, and hang in there through this tough time. If ya need anything, just ask!

Barb, it's good to hear from you. I'm glad things aren't getting you down; a positive attitude goes a long way. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Oh, and sorry about your Colts - I thought they had it! :(

There is no bounds to the strength the human spirit possess. I work on a Med/Surg Oncology ward (MU BSN) and I have seen people defy all belief. Barb you stay strong, everyone here is praying for you. One of my best patients is beating aggressive myeloma as we speak. The disease paralyzed him from the neck down in 3 months, prognosis was 2 months to live. Right now he is learning how to walk again. All you have to do is believe.

Let me know if you need anything

All my hopes and prayers to you and your family

Wishing you the BEST from PA., Barb... Hang tough, THINK POSITIVE!!! I believe that you'll be back in the best of health in record time.:thumbup: We're all sending smoke and positive thoughts your way. You ROCK, Mrs. Knife Wife... Keep the Faith! :)
