FYI, for those on the West Coast.
I was in at my local Western Tool Supply this weekend to pick up some stuff, and saw they have the Delta 1x42 with 8" disk on sale for $109.99 (they usually run $180-230), pretty good price.
Western Tool only has stores in Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, Idaho, and Utah, but you might be able to order in online (?). I think these are great detail machines, and many newbies like them as starter machines.
The sale is only good to the end of the week, I think.
