well after one year at knifemakeing i wanted to make something kinda special to commemerate the event. Here she is 9 inch blade of 576 layer random pattern damascus of bandsaw blade and metal banding. Ebony handle and brass guard and hardware flat ground with full distal taper and differential heat treat. let me know what y'all think. should i hang it up or keep grinding away? :D

thanks for all the positive responses guys this is a pretty prestigious group to get those kind of compliments from the wife is gonna have to widen the doors for my head to fit through here pretty soon again thank you. :D

Good one, man !!

"9inch ... 576 layer ... ebony ... brass ... flat ground ... full distal taper ... differential HT ... " - all the good stuff !!

But "One year in Knifemaking" ??? Hmmm... you sure its not like 10years, OK, maybe 9years ?? ... ;) :D

KEEP GRINDING - but on some new knives, so we can see some more. A BIG pat on the back for you ! Jason.

Jason, I have been extremely lucky in the knifemakeing for this being my first year I had Bill Bagwell at my shop twice for a week each time this year and Wade Colter only lives thiry miles from me and has been extremely helpfull and Shane Taylor lives only 45 miles away and between the three of them i have learned more than I would have though humanly possible a year ago...
