I made these for a couple of guys in Indonesia. They wanted good hard use knives. One works for an Orangutan reserve and spends lots of time in the wild and depends on his blades. They are none too fancy, just practical.. both are 1095, heat treated with clay and then tempered at 400 for 2 cycles of 2 hours each and then the tang was flame tempered to spring temper. The handles are both dyed Box Elder burls. Just wanted to share what i had been up to besides the folders.. i cant wait to get back to making some damascus next week... i love that stuff:thumbup::D:D:thumbup:
