Hi everyone,

I bought quite a few new benchmades a few months ago, and 2 of them are consecutive numbered 530-1301 limited editions. They are the ones with a green handle and damascus blade. I don't collect anything, and actually gave away two of the knives. A shot show limited edition griptilion smooth edge to my dad, and a limited edition mini onslaught to my father in law.

For all you collectors out there, are the 530's more collectable because of the serial #'s? Or does that not matter?

-Chris

Thanks, I know they are pretty rare, but what I was wondering was if the serial numbers being consecutive made them collectable as a pair?
Does that make sense?

Hi Blade-fiend that is what I wanted to know. I'll probably sell them in the future, and don't want to break them up if they are rare or collectable as a pair.

Glad I could help :) and getting 1st or last is usually more collectable due to the fact you get to say you got the first made or the very last. but with such a low number being made(60) they are all very collectable once all 60 are spoken for that's it for them you have to get it on the secondary market which starts to dictate future pricing

Getting first and last means nothing if they aren't truly manufactured and assembled in numerical order. Unless you can verify that 1 was the very first one made and 60 was the last. But the is no way to know. Companies don't always follow chronological order when lasering numbers on their blades.

Benchmade keeps #s 1 and 2 anyway.
