OK First I hope this isn't considered deal spotting, since these aren't available anywhere else.

If it looks like deal spotting, smells like deal spotting, and walks like deal spotting...guess what? It's deal spotting. :rolleyes:

WOW thanks for postin that, the 940 is one of my fav's and I would love the pen. Dont have one yet in D2!
 
I like the look of this 940 and would've picked it up, but I'm on a CRK kick at the moment so had to pass it up. If anyone gets one please post some pretty pictures so I can drool and kick myself when they sell out.
 
Hey, thanks for the tip! I picked up that 940. That has been my favorite folder for years.
 
Um I work at the Sportsmans Warehouse in Round Rock and I have work tommorow or at least I think I do, so unless it was a location that closed the stores are still in business.

That blue D2 940 is one of the nicest Benchmades I've seen yet! I hope they bring it back someday when there's more $ in the back account.

I've never heard of Sportsman's Warehouse, but I live very close to Round Rock. What brands of knives do you carry? I might have to make a stop there sometime this weekend
 
some of the sloppy marketing I've come to expect from Benchmade. Les likes being cute, e.g. you can only get the 707 in S30V Carbon Fiber if you live outside of North America, the D2 green version of the 707 (an excellent knife) is sold through distributor x. Why not just call it a sprint run like Spyderco does and divy it up. Seems like Benchmade is playing a game which me makes appreciate Spyderco all the more.

This is actually the second version of this knife. The first was in 154CM, and was a Knife Of The Month back in '02, or something like that. I used to own the 940 KOTM Blue as it was called, and miss it terribly. It was my first Axis lock, and was the slickest thing I had ever seen. This new one in D2 is a great replacement. I'll definitely have to give it some thought, as my tax return is coming soon.
