ok so i have had both my benchmade griptillian and bradley alias 1 for about a month now. figured i could right a nice little review for em. the griptillian will be first.

ok i have a BM550 HG Modified sheeps Foot in 154 CM. Now i gotta say, i was a little apprehensive at first about the handles, being plstic and whatnot. adn seeing as i dont have a knife store around me to handle the knives...you get where i am going here. ok anyway. the handles. dont worry about them. they are sturdy adn strong. and just let me give you something to imagine. i am 6'3 220 with a 300lb bench. so i think i got a semi strong grip the handle on the grip didnt flex at all for me, even when i would squeeze as hard as i could. i was very impressed. as for the size of it, benchmade has got it down pat. very comfortable and nice. it fit perfectly in my rather large hands. no problems with slippage. now onto the blade. in my opinion, 154 cm is right up there with s30v. i would choose it as soon as i would choose the s30v at that. so obviously, it is good steele. anywho...it came outta the box only semi sharp. was kinda dissapointed. but hey, its a good time to see if the 154 was as easy top sharpen as i had heard. all i got to say is DAMN!!! mofo got sharp as crap. now i am not an expert at sharpening, all i got at the moment is a 220/1000 stone. but i can tell you this, took me 3 min adn i had my arm hairless:D now onto the most important part of the knife. the axis lock. i had heard great thing about the axis so i was expecting alot. i got more than i was expecting. first time i opened the blade, it snapped open with authority. and then try as i might, pushing the blade down, up, side to side, the axis lock held. good enough fro me i say. now onto the cons. only a few things i didnt like. the handles. they are great, but man they get my hands sweaty real fast. dont know if that is just me, but it seems to happen to me with any of my plastic handled spydercos too. so yeah. then there is the fact that inless i got the torx set, i cant take apart the knife. i know this voids the warrenty, but i like to know how my knife works. other than that, the grip is a kick arse knife. i owuld fully recomend it to anyone who wants one. adn i know this thread has probably been done a million times, but i figure new perspecitve is always good. ill finish the rest of the review(for the alias) when i get back from work. until then, peace out

ok i am back. so lets see here...ah yes. the bradley aliasI. first impressions were A)wow, it is sexy...B) handle is bigger than i thoght...C)i just shaved my arm by accident...so those were my fisrt impressions. lets get a more detailed look here...the handle. the handle is titanium. comes with a frame lock adn tip up or down carry. arrives as tip down. i found it uncomfortable to have the clip in my palm when cutting so i switched it to tip up and we are all good now. the finish of the handle, i have the gray version, was extremly good. not a scratch or anything on it, but here come the first flaw in my opinion. the bradley comes witha little finger groove on the handle. it is in my opinion that it is worthless adn slightly discomfortable. not a big deal unless you are really squeezing hard, but stil...i don t like it. the lock was killer. it locked like a vault adn didnt have any verticle play. to open and close it was a breeze. it was like butter. but here come the second flaw witht he knife. it has just a regular tightening screw(cant remember the proper name right now). after time, the screw came loose and some blade play, side to side, occured. i tried constantly tightening the screw but it kept coming loose just a tiny bit, which resulted in the blade play. a little super glue ont he screw and i was good to go, keeping it as tight as i wanted it. ok onto the blade. the blade came razor sharp. i have never had a knife that sharp before and it was just incredible for me. i used it for a week at work and home, breaking down boxes adn whatnot before i realized the edge was starting to chip a little bit. this is expected with all new knives. so i went to my stone, used a sharpie on the bevel and went at it. in three minutes i had it hair popping sharp and like new. i havent NEEDED to sharpen it since, but i have just for fun. at work tonight it just slid through the cardboard like it was a peice of birthday cake:jerkit: the blade, being 3.6 inches long, s30v, adn a modified spearpoint, is incredible. i would highly recomend this knife to anyone looking for a very nice adn strong EDC. it has taken my grips place so far. for the 200 you spend you get a bank vault feel, a razors edge, and best of all...ITS MADE IN AMERICA!!!

so there you have it. i hope this helped some people and if not oh well, i have no life anyways. goodnight all and keep using those wonderful little(or not at times) tools called knives.

Nice Review, I have always heard nothing but good things about the griptillian series. One of the best bang for you buck knives on the market.
