I sent Bryan Breeden the bottom Cleaver and told him to make me one with a 12" blade at 3/16" thick and another with an 11" blade at 1/4" thick

Both have Micarta Handles and are from O-1 Steel

This is part #1 of the test as it is raining and I'm unable to get out to the testing area I normally go to.

I did some Milk Jug Chopping and some Firewood Chopping

Enough to think I like the 1/4" version slightly better

Going to take both out as soon as it dries up and confirm that

But I'm happy with the cutting ability of both of them.

Handles are comfortable and secure

Edges came sharp and stayed sharp during this short test

Will post photos of test #2 as soon as I can

So far---I'm very happy

If you want a beast of a Cleaver--Call Bryan

HE will fix you up and you will be happy!!!!

Thanks for sharing this. I followed the other thread, and really like what Brian is putting out. Some great blades, and these look no different.

man he told me he is starting on mine in a couple weeks. I can't wait. I had him hook me up with the lord greystoke and a mini recon :) I can't wait for that piggy back set up.

very nice blade sir. They look like some monster choppers :)

I like them Doc . I know that the cedar and mesquite trees will get chopped with them.:D:thumbup:
Can't wait to see the next test Doc. Thanks for posting.

But who is that Bryan Guy ? ;)

Bryan is very easy to work with too

Wow looks like a very functional breeding of Rambo's leaf spring special and a hudson bay trade knife.

If the urban/wilderness extreme challenge comes about they look like to be capable of being entered Mr Breeden, fine job man!
Love the handle looks very comfortable. How is the shock on the hand William?

Damn good price as well, cheaper than an sk-5 trailmaster and one hell of a better knife, and I like my trailmaster. How I wish I knew about the forums and the great private makers around here before I bought a whack of production blades........

Hi all,
Bill, I am glad to hear you like the Cleavers. Thanks for the kind words on the knives I made for ya. I thought the handles really turned out nice and comfy on them both.
I like the testing you done so far. I am interested in hearing and seeing what other test you do and how them cleavers work out for ya.

Say can I post the video I did of your 2 knives here?

Thanks again all for the kind words.

Bryan

Handles are very comfortable and much more comfortable tat the Trailmaster handle I used last

Those gave me hot spots/ blisters if I used them too long

These handles have not
