So this is random. I was looking at RMJ shrike videos on youtube. I somehow got to this video. The second comment says "mercop" busted 2 Busse knives in this drum. I call BS but does anyone have any info on this?

The knife is O1 steel and looks mall ninja but claims it is Navy Seal designed.

I am not familiar enough to answer this, but I know that mercop is a member of Bladeforums. Perhaps he should be invited here to answer your questions and discuss the details.

I personally call bs IMHO

And designed by navy seals- so? Most(not all) of them don't give a rat $&%# about knives

Looks very mall ninjaish lol

But I'm not saying that that's the way it is- just my opinion prove me wrong I'm not going to lash out lol

I remember watching that video last year, they used the RMJ oil drum. I was at Blade that year and had no clue they conducted that test until a week after I got home.

I never heard of any Busses breaking and never saw any pictures of them either.

He had a thread in the reviews section I believe on this knife and "test"

Look close and you will see the knife is pretty beat up including a chipped edge. BS about covers it.

I do not believe that two Busse knives of comparable in size and thickness were broken without seeing pics and video.

it looks pretty thick. so im not surprised it more or less survived. but as to the busse thing... hmm idk... guess it depends on what models he used.

I think that one fact says it all about Busse knives. When someone wants to represent a knife as super tough the basis for a comparision, whether valid or fradulent, seems to always be Busse.

That's a very good point.

"To be the best, you have to beat the best."

why not repeat the so called test with the same knives and the same kind steel drum ?
i do not have any busse now , if i had one , i wanta try .

I think any knife made by anyone can be destroyed if abused enough. The Force-1 or Ash-1 would be good candidates to repeat the steel drum test imho. I'm sure Jerry has tested them throughly though. ;)

Something like that was done at the Bob and Mike Show at Indy a couple/few years ago..

Got more comments about the loss of the can than the performance of the blades...

On the left, Bob's SH-e custom and Active Duty, right, Hammy's Mean Street fatty and tan-handled Ratweiler.

Smoothed some finishes, but no chips or rolls...

p.s. the other side of the can was well ventilated too....

Seriously Pop you used a Oink scavenger hunt SH to stab the ammo can ?

Wow you the man Pops

I would have mourned the loss of the can too, I know what the knives are capable of, oh the humanity !
