Hello,

I've got a 2 dot 110 that needs a new blade, can buck replace the blade, or will they just replace the knife? The knife has sentimental value, so I don't want to replace it, but would like to get it repaired if that's possible.

thanks

I get a solid answer from someone at Buck just to make sure.

You can contact Joe Houser by clicking on his name in red at the bottom right of your screen.

You may want to retire it and get a new one. It is doubtful that Buck will have a two dot blade sitting around.

And there might be some issues putting a new blade in an old frame. There have been changes in the blades and frames over the years.

Email Joe Houser.

I sent Joe an email...he sent a reply shortly after that said blade replacement shouldn't be a problem...also said that there shouldn't be any cost involved! COOL!

Thats cool.....did he clarify that your two dot blade would be replaced with a new two dot blade?

I gotta see if I can find those old threads... I am so confused...

I left a two dot to be refurbished when I was at Buck yesterday. The blade is in pretty good shape and elected not to get it replaced. The bolsters were a mess, though. I got it on that auction site, which is not to be named, and the knife description was not fairly stated, and the pics fuzzy. I put the knife in a drawer and forgot about it thinking it was a lesson learned. Now I'm looking forward to having a two dot user. My first two dot, that I bought new, I gave to my son.

The one I have is in the opposite condition...the bolsters are in decent shape, but the blade is in about 3 pieces! It actually belongs to a friend of mine who bought it new when he was a teenager and broke the blade. I've got a 2 dot that I bought from that same auction site. The pictures, description, and price had me thinking that I was getting a user. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find it in near mint condition...blade never sharpened, bolsters in great shape, sheath almost like new, I guess you never really know until you get it in your hands!
