I forged this bad boy using two files. Larger file for blade and small for the guard. Handle is elk. Knife is rested on a 200lb anvil for size comparison.
I love working with old files and they make great blades. However they dont sell well for some reason . I post a knife made from 1084 and its gone within hours, but use a file for the blade and forget it . So my collection of file knives keeps growing!
