This small knife was made with a blade traded to me by one of the forum members. Lately I don't have much free time, (or talent) for knife making so I have done a little horse trading with some of the forum members. (Wood for finished blade blanks) This way I get to use my wood for handles on blades made by talented makers.

The handle is a bit chunky for the knife but it feels comfortable in my hand. It stays on my desk for when it's needed around the shop. I made all the newbe mistakes when putting this together but I think it turned out OK in spite of myself.

The knife is 5" overall. The handle material is redwood burl scraps. I didn't notice the scratches I need to clean up till I saw the photo.

I know ..... "Don't quit my day job".

Very nice little knife all around. Beautiful burl but also a very nice handle shape for the shape and proportions of the blade.
Sure would make a nice necker, I'm thinkin'.

Thanks for the friendly comments. The blade was made by Adam Michael. He sent me 2 so the next one will be a necker with a slimmer handle for my granddaughter. This is the first knife I have worked on in over 5 years. You sure forget a lot over time....but it's starting to come back to me.
