Man, I love these things...KJ Eriksson, good ole carbon steel, stout and sharp..nice curly birch handle. Overall, I would have paid alot more for it. but $2 is an awesome deal.
I think I might even put some work into it, I really like the handle.

Nice, GKN! I picked up its cousin today a little worse for wear and without a sheath for a buck. Great minds think alike...

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing these cheap fines, glad to see that old timer is in good hands now :)

Cool find. The flea markets I go to always have junk. The very few I saw that actually had decent stuff were expensive and not willing to be talked down.

Yeah tell me about it...I found this one, after seeing a really cool puukko in terrible shape, the handle was falling off. The guy wanted $50!! Granted, it was very old, but not ancient. He got pissed at me when I told him I would give him $10:D I could hear him cursing me as I walked away:p

Mike, were did you go? We should go together some time, I go out every sunday, gets me outta the house and into the fresh air with my daughters...and sometimes, I find cool stuff. Like this old Marbles lapel compass. I think I paid $20 for it.

I nabbed some tin cookware, a 2,000 cubic inch 1980's crag pack, a wool blanket and some other random backpacking odds and ends last week for six bucks. If you take the time to look, you can pick up some awesome deals.

That looks like a Mora knife. Check it out to see if the blade is laminated. The hard stuff would be in the middle, and the more ductile stuff would make up the bread in the sandwich.

I went to one near you and found the mora. Yeah, we should go sometime. I'll email you.

This winter I got 2 NEW sleeping bags for $2!!!!!!! I got home and opened them up, they were very good quality and in perfect condition.
Last summer I picked up a nice sized dome tent for car camping, $20.
I have about 10 compass's..silva and sunntu..all of them $5 a piece. never mind the tools that I have bought over the years...Flea markets and yard sales are the only way to go.
I have this guy, he sets up every week end, he sells blue jeans. He has a new pair of carhart jeans for me every week end, $6. He knows my size, and he gets em, I dont know how, but he does it. $6!!!

flea markets are a lot of fun,i've even scored old randalls fairly cheap, but haven't found a $6 Scagel yet.

Awesome score on that blade! I hope you don't clean it up, it looks great just like that!

i love hitting the yardsales and fleamarkets. i've found some nice little treasures.
don't want to hijack your thread, but here's some of my finds:
yardsaletreasures.jpg

bm mini stryker- $8.00
khyber folder- $5.00
coldsteel folder-$4.00
boker usa- given to me at an estate sale
us compass- $1.50
spyderco ladybug- $ 10.00
trench lighter- $5.00

I've been looking for a compass like that Marble one for years at the swap meets and garage sales.
Want to sell it?
If so, how much?

That knife looks like a Mora that I got about 40 years ago. As TIguy7 said, check to see if it has a laminated blade. Good knives. Still have mine. I paid $1.50 for mine... but that was a while back.
