JUUUUST finished... Again, this was supposed to be a forged integral but it just didn't happen that way ...
Ah well, I still think it turned out OK. I tried to make this one an exercise in cleanness of fit and finish.
9.75inch OAL. 5inch blade - forged Silver Steel, edge hardened with hamon. Asymmetric unsharpened clip. Tapered tang. Handles of black canvas Micarta with a dual finish and quasi-bolstered look. I learnt this from Peter DelRaso. Handle is finely bead blasted satin, then the front portion is lacquered to turn black. Balances on the index finger.
Sheath is a but incongruous - entirely rivetted, no stitching. Almsot frontier style really. There is a flap of Kydex under the reinforcing band across the mouth of the sheath that helps control retention using the Chicago screw head you can see.
Comments, anyone ? Thanks for looking. I really enjoyed making this one. Jason.
