Hey there,
Not a regular poster over here, but thought I'd go fishing for some advice on things to do in London while we're waiting to catch a train to the Welsh coast. We'll have about 2 hours in the city. Will probably get something to eat. Catching the train out of London Euston station, so would like to end up in that area. Taking the bus or Underground somewhere in the city is an option, but we only have about 2 hours so nothing too far away. Ideas?

I thought u meant a plane when i read it lol. If it was in heathrow theres a great burger place that also has american beer. In the city, find a pub near by and have fish and chips with a grolches

Well, you were right in a way. We're flying in to Heathrow, taking the express into the city, then catching a train out of Euston Station.

You shouldnt have a problem finding a pub. They also have places called "chippies" where you get take out stuff. They even have haggus at those things

Try one of these

Take the underground to Leicester Square which is the heart of the west end. From Euston it is only 3 stops on the Underground >>map here<<

From there you are right in the heart of London with loads to do and see within a 10 minute walk.

If you like Chinese food you will be a few hundred yards from China Town which has one of my favourite pubs called Die Helms, just off Gerard St. They serve excellent Belgium and Dutch beer on tap and the building once housed a cell of Dutch resistance during the war.

At the top of Oxford Rd is the Wallace collection with free entrance to one of the best private collections of swords and armour in the world. Also very easy to find.

If I can help in any way shoot me a PM. I am in London through next week.

Have fun

Steven
