Here's a bowie and a hunter set.
Bowie oal-15 5/8" w/ 10 1/4" blade
Hunter oal - 9 1/4 w/ 4 5/8" blade, both N/S hardware, stag handles.
The box is made from wenge, with all brass fitting.
 
Beautiful knives! How do you polish the stag to get that creamy color?
 
Wow Bill, I am thoroughly impressed. I love them both, but that Bowie is outstanding. The presentation box is beautiful as well. Nice damascus.
 
Terrific pair Bill - I love the whole idea of a bowie / hunter matched set. And that presentation box is a wonderful finishing touch.

Flava, I'm sorry for not answering your question earlier, I missed it.
I just sanded the stag down to smooth white, then dyed with leather dye, after drying I buffed with green compound, makes them come out looking like porcelain.

Reall nice! The pair is gret together, and I also love the idea of the display box..., nicely done!
 
If if was just one or the other, it would be an amazing knife. But a matching pair, and a presentation box. Well, well, well, Awesome work, and the closeups of the damascus - congrats. You've gotta be proud of that pair. I hope they make someone else very happy too. Jason.
