first is the "Great American Jack Knife", 1993, 175th Anniversary of the American Flag. this one is serial #0089 with matching # on COA and white sleeve that goes over the red velvet box.
i think it is really a 2 bladed 8OT, but i like the clip/pen blade combo.
for some reason these are not often seen. maybe most became users ?

next knife in next post. roland

this is a very nice 3 1/4" Sears/Carbon Steel/U.S.A. 95302. great swedge on the clip blade. but is it a Schrade ? 2nd pic shows with a 34Ot and a 233 and it is very close in shape to both, but i don't think the curves of the serpentine handle are an exact match for either.

anyone else with one of these, or know it's origin ? roland

The Sears with the square shield in your picture I believe is a Camillus made jack. I note it is a little more serpentine in shape than the 34 pattern too.

Now, the black jack brings up a point of interest with me. I got a knife in the mail tonight, and was wondering about it.

I have not seen this pattern in a black. It is an 834, is yours an 833 Roland? Not too many standard black Schrades with nickel silver bolsters. The 708B, the 766, and the 236 came in smooth black. I was hoping someone might know about these black ones. I like black knives, but am not a big fan of brass bolsters. This one is smooth, not too shiny or saw-cut.

bottom knife in bottom pic. is: Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A./233. i think it is the same as a 33OT which first was produced in 1976. i.e., mine is probably '73 - '75. and it is a beauty, one of my first Schrade purchases and seller told me that i got a very good knife (meaning, worth more than my winning bid); and i agree. roland

Roland, that 175th Anniversary is really attractive. I like that shield, classy! I really like the black on silver combination of that 233 too. I think the black ones might be kind of scarce. Likewise, I snared my black one for 18.00.

I put together a little gathering of this pattern is some different handles.

There's a couple 234K on the left. An 832 in the middle. The black 834 plus a delrin 834. Then the delrin 233 like Rolands black one and a Heritage 8341.

Good to see those patterns all in one shot, the 834 stockman looks sweet in black.

Roland, the 175th Anniversary knife is a real beut! great addition to the collection. I think I noticed that floating around e-bay a week or so ago?

I like the black too. I'm not a gun dude, but the black and silver stockman would pair up nice with a matched Colt 45.

Rusty, i've had this one a few months now, and thanks for photo tip. pics are showing better detail if i wait for some overcast. roland

Back to this picture, I found a couple in another pattern over on the Schrade site Craftsman section.

Since the Baer brothers had their fingers in the pie at both ISC and Camillus, you wonder how much raw materials were shared at both factories. Plus It's been noted in the forums quite a bit about their connection with Sears. I've seen that very similar 233 clip blade on the equivalent Sears Camillus Peanut, and it appeared on a Schrade Peanut in the mid 70's to early 80's (somewhere in there, not necessarily the whole span) as well. Thought I've read in this forum the Craftsman line with square shields and cream delrin color came out of Camillus.
