Ok... So I got a sweet Chopwieler, a cool Swamp Warden, a multi-tool, and this fire steel...

...Now what? How does one carry all this stuff without weighing down pockets, or wearing multiple sheaths?
Well... I inquired about a sheath idea to Chuddy Bear, and he made it a reality!

The sheath...

Cool, huh??? My first from him, and WOW! I love it!! :D:thumbup:

Now... Since I didn't know which multi-tool I would be getting (this one in the pic is an older Gerber that I though I'd lost, LOL... Now found.) I just asked Chuddy Bear to create the pouch, and I'd find one that fits... So if anyone has any good advice on which multi-tool I should pick up, I'd appreciate the tips. This Gerber is a bit thick for the pouch, but fits... However it makes the slot holding the Swamp Warden too tight, so I will need to find something a little slimmer for this sheath... Which is what I figured that I'd have to do anyway, so not a big deal at all to get a new 'toy', LOL :D

BTW, Eric, ...I'm looking for at least 2 lanyards, a small, and something between a small & a medium; both olive green & black, with that COOL reflector thread (like the one on the Swamp Warden in these pix). Do ya think that you can get your daughter to make me a few? :) Lemme know, cool?

Thanxx for lookin'!!

That sure is some fine leatherworking right there. Cool idea. How much does the overall package weigh? I bet it pulls the belt a bit.

I don't know the weight... I don't have a scale, LOL, but it's not as bad as I expected on the belt just dangling. I suck at weight guesstimation, but mebbe... 2 to 3 lbs.? It would probably feel even lighter if I had tied it to my leg... It has one of those leg tie loops on the back of it. I haven't tried that yet. :)

Jaxx, sweet set up!

Chuddy Bear makes some real nice looking sheaths, if the Swardens hit the store I may have to give him a shout and retire the current spec-ops.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Wow! That looks great!

Man, I dig Chuddy Bear's work! So, Jaxx - whattya think about those sweet Chopweilers, eh?

They are freakin' SWEET!! Great in the hand. The ones I got have a wicked edge, sharp as heck!! I haven't used one yet, but I plan making one a user, so I'll have to snap pix when I do and post 'em here. :D:thumbup: Did I miss out on the ones with OD green & tan canvas micarta? I want one in that combo, and I keep forgetting to check in here to see, LOL. (My bad!!)

Sweet set up! BTW, where is the striker that was attached to the fire steel?

Oh, and so far, my favorite multi-tool is my Leatherman Surge. Not small, not HUGE, but a beast of a multi-tool IMHO...

Can't get much better than that set up right there. I was planning on doing something similar, but I still need more practice with leather before I attempt it.

I've got a similar rig in the works with Leatherman.

It's for my Mag SFNO and has the multitool/light pouch, fire steel loop, sharpening rod loop, but no room for a skelly. Maybe I should call him about that.

Great set up Jaxx.

I ran the cord through the belt loop, and tucked the striker into the tie down loop further down the sheath for the pix... The cord is long enough. I also have a Surge, and THAT puppy will definitely not fit, LOL, but this I was expecting. it is a monster. I hear that Leatherman is coming out with a Ti frame model, and hopefully it'll be the right size for the pouch 'cause I imagine that it'll be considerably lighter that the standard steel frame models.

I also am thinking about one for a pair of Busse's with one being either the Skelly, or maybe a Scotch Dispenser... BTW this idea is copyrighted. I don't know what Chuddy Bear would want, but I'll settle for a Custom Shop Busse from your collection for my portion... :foot::foot: ;)

:D:D LOL

i smell a rat!

Man that looks well done! I was going to ask why you didn't add a tie down (seems like a lot of weight to be swingin' free and banging into your leg), but I guess you did and it doesn't even show. Great bit of kit!
