excellent work - looks like you're definitely dialing in the handle contours!
I like the olive/red handles a lot.

These two came out very nice Dan.

Very Nice Dan! You wouldn't want to do a pass around on these also would you???? HAHAHA :)

Keep up the good work!

Let me tell you what Dan you can tell that you have experince mergering two materials. The seams appear flawless. Nice!!

thank you ridge runner! doing the joinery on humidors gave me a good under standing of the principles, while dylan and andy's teaching did the rest.

These knives look incredible! Those handles look like they'd just melt into the hand...I'll be on the lookout for more of your work for sale!

They just arrived, and I'm very happy with them. First, these are substantial knives -- they fill the hand and have 3/16-inch thick, heavy-duty O-1 blades. Here are the Predators along with a Marauder (1/8-inch thick O-1) that I bought from Dan's previous 6-knife sale post:

Here's a picture showing the Marauder and Predator sheaths:

It's surprisingly hard to hold the camera in one hand, knives in another, and take a picture without moving either. The next two aren't as clear as I'd like, but they show the knives sizes in relation to my hand. First, a comparison picture of the Predator and Marauder spines:

Next, a Predator in-hand:

After looking at those pictures again, I think that my auto-focus locked onto my lawn rather than the knives, so I'm going to say that's why the pictures aren't as sharp as I'd like. The knives however, arrived shaving sharp.

I also received an unexpected present; Dan sent this little beauty. I'm not sure if it's a just classified as a patch knife or if it has another name, but it is a slim-bladed slicer with a very pretty handle and kydex sheath; thanks much Dan!!

Jim I can't tell you how glad I am that you like your knives! This is what it is all about for me making knives that y'all like.

As to the little knife it is 1/16 0-1 with a bloodwood handle and a quarter line convex saber grind (it would be a scandi grind but it has a convex rather than flat). I threw it in because I like round numbers, and I couldn't have you out there with a set of three. I called those patch knives because black powder guys use a small fixed blade knife to cut a cloth "patch" that goes in between the powder and the bullet, but I have not found a name that sticks yet

Nicely done Dan! Really love the handle shapes on the Predators and those blades look really nice too.

looking good!

cough cough 1/8" please! cough cough ;)

I like the lines on the tan and green especially!

rpn i will be back in the shop after the first and aldo may have sent me some 1/8" o-1, you just never can tell what might happen
