I took 4 pieces of the cutouts from the B-and-B Bowie that Bruce B. sent me and welded two pieces together per blade thus elongating out the pattern we originally had.I strtched one in one direction, and the other in the other direction...Then I used the two scales of Giraffe bone I had gotten from Bruce B. to make the two handles. Then stainless wire was twisted to make the centers of the guard, one was a thin tie wire size stainless wire with two pieces per piece twisted one in one direction and the other one the other... and the other was some 1/16 inch stainless brazing rod twisted (2 pieces)these were then wrapped around a brass core and sandwiched between two .025 inch thick nickel silver..Then smoothed stainless pins. One is just under 4 inches and the other just over 4 inches in blade length.
I am planning on making Nickel silver sheaths for both.Unless someone wants them with leather.
So What do you guys think ?..

Bruce, I hope you don't mind if I steal your guard idea, that answers a question I've been dealing with for my bowie. Thanks!

Those are a couple of sweet knives, I think you should just make the NS sheaths. Whoever buys them won't mind. ;) I like the full palm on the first one a lot.

Dave, that is not my original idea,Michel Price -Will and Fink-and others were doing them like this back during the California gold rush era..So lets see what you come up with.

WOW, I really like those Bruce! :D

You really caught my attention with those little beauties. I love the lines and color schemes. Excellent execution on two fine knives, thanks Bruce!
