I took 4 folders to the AKI here is 2 of them. The other 2 have already been posted.

Both of these are sole authorship.

One is Gentleman's Quill knife, it has 8 blades, 14K gold milled liners, scalloped bolsters and raised pins. The scales are gold lip pearl carved in relief with floral
pattern.

The other is a Smoker's Knife, 2 blades, a cigar fork, a buttonhook, a pick and manicure blade. 14K gold folding pipe tamper, toothpick and milled liners. Checkered mother of pearl scales.

Thanks for looking and your comments are welcome.

Hello Gray,

As usual it was great meeting you at the AKI and getting
the chance to have a close look at your wondrous folder art.

Here is why I took your picture with Tommy Hutton.
Two of your amazing pieces from his collection are
on display in my soon coming book "The World of Art Knives"...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thank you for sharing your work with us. I am glad to see you will be included in Mr Darom
book that will be out in the spring 2010. I was really surprised when your work was not in his book "Custom Folding Knives."

Hi Gray,
as always, the knives are spectacular.
I had to really look for the pipe tamper in the photos of the smoker's knife. It looks like a really cool idea.

Besides overall shape, what appeals to the Custom Knife market is always the attention to detail and the usage of exotic materials.

Compress BOTH of these into a small multi-blade folder with added complexity, and you have the equivalent of a rich concentrate.

And then you meet Gray and Evelyn....

What a package! :)

What a treat to see Gray's knives here I really do not have words to come close to doing them any justice at all. Getting a peak and David's new work is "icing on the cake" of Gray's two AKI threads.

Thanks to everyone for looking at the knives and giving feed back.

Especially want to thank Mike Carter for the article on me in the Dec. Blade. It was a pleasure working with Mike.

Thanks to DDD for posting the page from his book. I am looking forward to picking up a copy in the spring.
