These are my latest knives, and the first blades to come off of my variable speed KMG. They're not sharpened yet, but I couldn't resist taking some quick pics!

The larger one is a seriously overbuilt version of my newest Lacerator design, by request. It is 16" overall and 2" wide, and made from 5/16" thick A2. The blade is 10", and the secondary edge is 2". It weighs around 2lbs., but still has pretty good balance. The scales are black G-10.

The other blade is the "heavy" version of my Dadao design. It is 11.25" long and 1.75" wide, made from 3/16" thick A2. The blade is around 6" long. The customer is going to cord wrap the handle, so 1/8" thick black and blue G-10 scales were used.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Sam! Not sure what kind of steel you like exactly, but I believe A2 tool steel is considered a carbon steel (not stainless). It's my personal favorite, especially for these big blades.

How are you liking that variable speed KMG, Jim? I love mine:thumbup::D

These look great. I'd be interested in something "legal" carry size at 5.5 blade length. I have to say that I've always liked your designs but never considered buying one due to the extra holes in the blade. Can't give you a good reason; just not my stlye. But these, oh yeah, I like.

The KMG is great, Joe- the variable speed was worth it!
Texas Slim, thanks for the feedback. I normally make these with a 5.5" or so blade length, but I prefer 3/16" thickness for that length. I hope to have a few more done soon, and I'll probably post at least one here when it's done on the for sale page.

Whoa! That big one is awesome! I didn't care for the scalpels, but these are just pure evil. Nice work man!!
