I just ordered a Case amber bone medium stockman (6318 CV) and a Case Bone Stag Trapper to add to my small collectoin of slipjoints. I found a nice Case display at the local Lowe's store (all cheaper than I paid with shipping -I'll make a note of that) and got my first look at both knives. The Trapper is a serious piece of cutlery! I knew how big it was, it just looks larger in real life. The amber bone on the stockman is real nice looking too.
The medium stockman is Chrome Vanadium and I'm eager to put it to use in my EDC rotation. I chose the model with the Spey blade rather the one with the pen blade.

Question: What is your favorite style blade? I like the spey the best, but use the sheeps foot the most.

I am partial to wharncliffs and sheeps foot blades.

OK, I'll play.....
I like the clip, especially the California Clip.
A nice pointy Wharncliff would be second.

I hate the spey blade and love the wharnie the perfect trapper has a clip and a whanie...IMHO.

To add to my alter ego's favorites, :) A wharncliff whittler with two coping blades is also a favorite of mine.

A swedged spear point can be awesome looking and usefull on a narrow pattern (Jack or Dr.).

For me, clip and wharncliffe in a tie, then sheepsfoot and coping. Spey blade at the bottom of the list, right below nail file and karambit.

My least favorite is the pen - ugh. I don't use the clip very often and I really like the spey, sheeps foot, wharncliff and coping. I use the spey for whittling and sharpening pencils. The sheeps foot gets used fairly often in my occasional woodworking projects.
