2 new Kukris (sort of)

Got 2 new knives today. A Kumar CAK ordered Sat, shipped Mon, arrived today. Thanks, Yangdu! The other was ordered from someone (no name calling yet) two WEEKS ago, and was a cheaper version of the knife ordered. Am pursuing refund.

The CAK is awesome! Thought it might be to heavy. Nope! Good balance, good polish, nice edge. Of course, Father's Day is coming up and my dad has been drooling over some of my other kukris. Might have to give him an HI as his first "real" knife.

Or should I just get him a tie instead???

Sorry about the as yet to be named disapointment. Glad the HI arrived in timely and estatic fashion. A tie for Dad? Yeah, and a photo of your new blade!

I saw that one. 16.5" (well, I guess they all are for the most part) horn handle right? Excellent price on that as well, so you did good. Keep this one if you feel an affinity for it and just order your Dad another model that catches your eye on Yangdu's next DOTD. Then you can compare and see what one you think would be best for him.

Either way he'd like it more than another tie I'll bet!
