2 New Schrades

I just picked up two new Schrades today, both absolutely perfect Uncle Henry's. One is a large stockman not a scratch on it, the other is a Bear Paw big lockback and it too is perfect. The gun shop where I bought it also has a UH Trapper and a few Old Timers, including a Sharpfinger, as soon as I get more money I'm going back to get the rest, all of the models I examined were perfect, the prices are a little high for Schrade (but supply and demand). I was never much into their stuff, I always preferred Case and Buck until I got into Spydercos. But, since their demise I've tried to get every Schrade I can find. I just can't help but think that in time near PERFECT examples of Ellenville, NY work will be worth something, especially after Taylor starts producing their Chinese crap under these brand names.

Buy all the trappers you can find, Schrade had discontinued them a few years ago, except for the 96OT.If they have any muskrats, grab them also, the value seems to have gone up on them pretty good.

Thanks, I didn't know about the Muskrats and Trappers, they have one of each, both Uncle Henry's. The prices are a bit high for Schrade, but not ridiculously so.

BTW is a gun shop and they sell tons of guns but for some reason (mainly their high prices on knives I suppose) they don't sell many knives. The good thing is though I have found some GREAT knives in there over the years, it's a great place to make rare finds.
