This past weekend I picked up a Cold Steel shovel, and Plainsman's Hawk. I've wanted the shovel for a while, and a local knife shop had a special on CS stuff, so I got both. They came with horrible edges though. I first used a Dremmel to make the rough grind, then a file, and finally a medium stone. I made one side of the shovel sharp enough to slice paper, and the Hawk is almost that sharp. I've been using them both on a large, hard, ugly bush that we are getting rid of. Yardwork has never been so fun! Next I want to try throwing them.

I just got my CS Shovel yesterday! I'm still deciding what to do with the edges - I'll do some chopping tests first. I've wanted the Shovel for a while too... now I just hope it can chop as well as I've heard!

I'll probably be picking up one of those shovels soon, 'cause, well, it says Cold Steel on it and no other shovel like that is made by a knife company
