Hi All it's been a long time since I've posted anything. There just hasn't been much time for knife making for me for a while.
This project has been along time in the making but, they're finally done

Here are the spec's

Clip point Bowie,

Blade; 8 3/4 inches flat ground 440C. Hand rubbed satin finish. File worked spine and fasle edged clip point.
Guard/pommel; Cast white bronze.
Handle; Sambar stag with nickel escutcheon plate with nickel pins.
OAL; 14 inches.
Sheath; 8/9oz wet molded leather with gold embossing and antiqued nickel throat and tip with scalloped accents.

Spear point bowie; 7 inch,Hollow ground 440C. Hand rubbed satin finish, file worked spine and false edge spear point.
OAL; 12 1/4 inches.

Great work Robert. I love what you did with the fittings on the knives and sheaths. Really awesome.
 
I always look forward to seeing your latest. This set was a great surprise! Outstanding work.

Ray, I am also always delighted to see your work. I can't remember how long it's been since I forged a hawk head from you but you have come a long way since then and your work is always outstanding.

Coop, Thanks for the complement. These were commission. You can see the origonal on page 98 in, "The Bowie Knife book" by Norm Flayderman.
This was a great project but with every day life tragidies, I have been out of the shop a lot this year, it took me a full year to get this set completed.
 
Thanks again Bob for putting the time in to make this project materialize for me. It well worth the wait.

The original knife can been seen at "You can see the origonal on page 98 in, "The Bowie Knife book" by Norm Flayderman" If you dont have that book I will try to post a picture up over the weekend.....
