2 patinas and a pumpkin patch

Stripped and patina-ed my bk5 and bk11. check it out. I also took the kid to the pumpkin patch and felt like sharing those pics as well since a bunch of the guys are at ethans and its been a slow weekend thus far.

that is a SWEET patina on that BK5.

Yeah, that 5 came out damn nice. And I think that's the first time I've seen a dye job on BK11 scales and they look really good.

Yer kid's cute too, man.. I'm assuming he gets it from his mom! But seriously, teach him about the goat thing. Safety first.
 
Apple cider vinegar to darken it first. The cut up and apple into full slices and laid them under and on top of the Blade for a few minutes. The spicy horseradish mustard in a random splatter pattern. The vinegar again to darken up the splatter.
 
Good looking kid ya got there clich. We always have a great time at the pumpkin patch as well. This is my favorite time of the year and my daughter always get a kick out of carving the pumpkins up. I get a kick out of eating them! I like the patina on the BK11 best.
