2 questions about Kydex

1) To preserve a tight fit (kinda important with neck knives) on your knife, is it useful to store your knife out of the sheath when not carried?

2) If a loose fit develops, how can one fix it? Heat?

I am a user, with no special knowledge but experience. I have stored knives for years in kydex scabbards with no ill effect. I had a holster left in the car lose its tight fit. I heated it with a hair dryer and a little hand pressure made things right.

Did you do this with the knife inside? Could you please describe your technique? Would this apply to sheaths made from other plastic materials?

No.

Put in another eyelet, or screw and post. But it shouldn't become loose if it's made right.
