Hello,

New to the forum with a question....or two, and would gratefully appreciate your input.

1) I got a Marbles Bison for Christmas, and am very pleased with the knife, balance and the true and straight edge. However, the sheath leaves a few areas for improvment. The snap seems to get in the way, and a few areas I will not address to keep the post a short one.
Does anyone have a suggestion of who would do a custom sheath for the Bison, and who makes high quality shorter fixed blades?

2) At times, I wear suspenders, but need to carry a knife in a sheath. Surely, someone makes a device to attach a sheath to your waist without having to wear a belt. Anything other than the pocket variety?

Thanks,

Hi Stark,
for a custom sheathmaker I would recommend Bob Schrap; plain or embellished, out of just about anything you want, he makes a high quality sheath. His site is: http://www.customsheaths.com/

For high quality shorter-length fixed blades, check out some custom makers--Ed Caffrey and Ray Kirk are two that come to mind. Do some searches in the Custom Knife section on their names and read the comments/see the pics.

If you dislike belt carry, you might check into an inverted neck sheath. If you don't mind kydex, you could experiment with the Tek-Lok multicarry attachment.
