When did they stop pinning shields on the Schrade Walden era knives?

Also, when did John Primble Belknap make the 58ot? Its marked 934, so it wasnt numbered the same as the ulster 58ot.

Thanks guys.

Primble was a store. They made no knives or anything else. Ulster, Schrade and Boker U.S.A. made knives for them, and probably some other companies. I don't know the answer to the pinned shield question.

Belknap... a huge jobber supplying stores. John Primble was one of their brandings. The pinned shield question is an excellent one and need be asked in the BRL forum. It was an industry shift. I think deletion coincided with the advent of Delrin and heating in shields. Eric? Any clues for us?

That was my first thought, but I have handled Schrade Walden open-stock 'jigged' Delrin covers with pinned shields.

Ok. Now i reckon I'm going to dig thru old catalogs to see if the little 58 (ulster 55 frame, right?) was ever reissued as the 934. I dont recall ever seeing it on the lists over on AAPK, but I will look more.
Thanks for the input guys!

Schrade made some of the knives for Belknap and stamped them John Primble.
