Anyone else have this knife? I think it's well-built, looks and feels great and performs above its price point. Id put it up against anything out there for $30 and prefer it over many knives costing much much more.
That said, its got the Kershaw G10 that to me is slippery as heck.
So...

Question 1 - Does anyone know who might make a scale for this very inexpensive knife. I havent seen any and it may be just because of the knifes low price but I like this knife and would like an aftermarket custom scale.

Question 2 - Does anyone know where to get a deep-carry clip? Are there any deep-carry clips for other Kershaw models that fit?

Thanks...

I just got the CQC-6 a few days ago and its most excellent - especially considering the price.

Mine is smooth as silk and overall works a charm.

Minimal blade rock adjusted via the screw.

Blade shape very much to my liking, handle lies great in my hand. wave function works exactly as advertised, thumb plate opening equally so, knife easily sharpened and considering the steel can be honed to adequate sharpness.

Some complain the CQC-6K is a little weighty. I acknowledge, that if one is used to carrying a super light weight FRN handled Spyderco, this will initially get noticed. It doesnt bother me.

Quality on my example excellent for such a cheap knife.

Color me impressed. I recommend the knife.

Be careful though; its a gateway drug to Emersons!

NB please note the tasteful 70'ies table cloth.

It's an Emerson clip, though I can't say for sure whether or not a deep carry clip for Emersons would fit.

Check the Custom shop forum. Plenty of makers there do scales, I'm sure that if no one is making them currently you can get someone to. Will just have to send them the knife to make the pattern.

Good luck.

Personally I dont find the CQC-6K scale slippery per se.

But it depends on what one is used to, I guess.

If one comes from Emersons, the scale on the Kershaw would be perceived as being slippery, as Emersons have a reputation of having scales the texture of sanding paper.

I usually make them myself with ( a lot of) help from a buddy.

I thought of fashioning a titanium clip like the one on the Spyderco above , but wouldnt a deep carry on the CQC-6K sort of defeat the purpose of the fast wave function, if one has to dig in a pocket for the knife? (asking, not stating)

Great budget knife. My brother had one and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive blade.

The Kershaw's clip looks to be the same size with the same screw placement as real Emersons. If they are, Benchmade's deep carry clips ought to work as they fit just fine on Emersons.

Ya Bladescout... I don't use the wave feature and have even thought about grinding it off

something like this may work? fits Emerson A-100, CQC7 and several other Emersons.

Its my understanding, that the CQC-6K clip is lifted directly from the Emerson line, so yeah - a definite maybe.

The Kershaw Emersons use a "fatter" pocket clip screw than a normal Emerson. U could always purchase a deep carry pocket clip on eBay and just drill out the hole to the size of the 6k. Good luck on the scale though...

I gave away my kershaw emerson 6, but from memory the clip looked smaller than my standard emersons.

I found several different styles on "that" auction site...all deep carry and by same maker. you can PM me and I can give you the exact "Title" to find them.

Problem is, they cost about the same as the knife.😀
