2 RAT's are not enough

Liked my RC3 swat and RC6 so much that I had to break down and just ordered an RC4 orange+molle, the RAT fire kit, and a RTAK (I can always sell it when RAT makes one someday). Along with a birch MORA with the double hilt to practice sharpening and for loan to my clutzee fishing buddy(banker). He passed me back my Grohmann with a bent tip last year. I made that knife 26 years ago as a kit at boyscout jamboree! "Oh I dropped"it was received with a cold rage and a suggestion he could fish from shore. Left him there for the evening bite, you can't catch anything from shore on that lake. We still talk and he hopes to still get an invite for june.

Anybody loose it on a friend over knife abuse or just lose the friend entirely?

Love the knives and can't wait for the RC4, looks like the perfect edc for the bush
 
My only RAT is an RC4 and I love it. I plan to get another soon but not sure which one, maybe an Izula.

Good call with the loner knife. I use a Mora Clipper for that. I has a similiar story to yours. I can't seem to explain the differences between some of my nicer knives and my buddies' knock off Pakistan made $3 special. I haven't lost it but I am very careful loaning knives out now. I usually ask what they are gonna use it for when others want to borrow one especially if I haven't loaned one to them before.
 
I possess an Izula and a RC-4 and I've come to the conclusion that the RC-4 is the knife for me. I'll attach the Izula to my small kit (Maxpedition 10 x 4 water bottle carrier with 3 additional MOLLE pouches) and use RC-4's for everything else. I just placed an order for another RC-4 (OD/orange) so I hope that the fine folks at Two Wolves Outdoor don't go off on another camping trip and make me wait longer than necessary. ;)
 
I have an Izula prototype, RC-4 and an RC-6. I have a thread up to trade alot of my other knives for RATs.

I'm addicted.:D
 
Good call on the RC4 it is a great little knife. Mine has become my EDC blade. I also have the RC6 and soon an RC5.

I stopped loaning any knife of mine to others. I sometime will pick up cheapies moff of ebay and give them to folks who need them. My knives are so sharp that I got tired of watching people cut themselves.
 
I have an RC4 with a RC 5 coming, and am getting money sometime in the next 2 weeks I will be getting an Izula, and putting money off for a HEST and likely getting the RC3 and RC6 as well as a fire kit.

And I loaned a Kershaw so a friend who needed help opening boxes, and I got my Leek back with a snapped tip. He told me he tried to pry some wood up. When you say boxes, wood prying isn't covered in that.. Didn't even offer to repay me =/. This was only last week or so.
